Look Where You Are Going
One of the most fundamental principles of motorcycle riding: "Look Where You Are Going"!
BY WOR HENGCHAISRI, December 4, 2024
This simple yet powerful concept reminds riders to:
1. Keep eyes focused on the road ahead
2. Look in the direction you want to go
3. Avoid distractions and stay focused
By following this principle, riders can:
1. Improve steering and control
2. Enhance situational awareness
3. Reduce the risk of accidents Remember, where you look is where you will go!
Two crucial points:
1. Looking provides information: The more you look, the more information you gather, enabling you to apply your skills more effectively.
2. Compensating for reaction time: As we age, our reaction time may slow. However, by looking more and gathering more information, we can compensate for this loss and continue to ride smart.
"Ride Smart"
is an excellent philosophy, emphasizing the importance of being proactive, observant, and informed while riding. By adopting this mindset, riders can enhance their safety, skills, and overall enjoyment of motorcycling.
