MSF Basic RiderCourse 2 - Skill Practice (BRC2-SP)
Designed for riders to practice basic skills (
no license waiver feature
).
You have to be on your own motorcycle
. Partial-day program (approximately 5 hours).
Completion of the course also earns you an insurance discount, typically 10-15% depending on your insurance company. Provide them with a copy of your MSF completion card.

Requirements:
- Your own motorcycle
What to expect:
- Partial-day program (approximately 5 hours)
- No formal classroom, except possibly for administrative paperwork
- No formal knowledge or skill tests
- Range exercises include low-speed maneuvers and basic skills such as accelerating, braking, cornering, U-turn, swerving and multiple curves
- You’ll be with the same group for the duration of your training
- You’ll receive individual RiderCoach feedback while learning to ride
What to bring and what you MUST wear:
- Food/beverages for breaks and lunch - Long-sleeve shirt or jacket
- Long pants (heavy denim or riding pants recommended)
- Over-the-ankle boots (sturdy, NOT canvas)
- Eye protection (sunglasses, full-face helmet with visor is okay)
- Full-finger gloves
- Helmet manufactured to meet DOT standards
- No exposed skin or ripped clothing
