BY WOR HENGCHAISRI, November 26, 2024
Key Points for Proper Street Riding Posture:
1. Eyes:
- Keep eyes up and focused on the road ahead
- Avoid looking down, as it can lead to loss of balance
2. Back:
- Maintain a straight back, but avoid stiffness
- Relax your body while riding
3. Arms:
- Keep arms relaxed and bent
- Avoid stiff arms, as they can hinder handlebar control
4. Knees:
- Keep knees against the gas tank
- This helps maintain balance and center of gravity
5. Feet:
- Keep the ball of your feet on the footpegs
6. Hands:
- Grip the handlebars firmly but not tensely
Tips for New Riders:
1. Practice proper posture and balance
2. Cover the clutch lever, but not the front brake lever
3. In case of loss of control, pull in the clutch to stop power to the rear wheel
4. Avoid grabbing the front brake and throttle simultaneously, as it can lead to dangerous situations
Maintaining good posture helps you:
1. Control the bike more easily
2. Reduce fatigue on long rides
3. Improve visibility and awareness of your surroundings
4. Enhance overall stability and balance
5. Develop good riding technique and strategy
By maintaining good riding posture, you will be better equipped to handle your motorcycle with confidence and precision.
