Primary Motorcycle Controls

Handlebars, Throttle, Front Brake Lever, Rear Brake Pedal, Clutch Lever, and Gearshift Lever

1. Handlebars: Located in front of the rider.

2. Throttle: Right-hand side of handlebars.
- Roll toward you: On
- Roll away: Off
- Gradual rolling on/off recommended

3. Front Brake Lever: Right-hand side of handlebars.
- Squeeze and ease to apply front brake
- Avoid grabbing

4. Rear Brake Pedal: Right-hand side, in front of right footpeg.
- Gradual application recommended

5. Clutch Lever: Left-hand side of handlebars.
- Serves two purposes:
- Changes gears
- Sends power to rear wheel
- Gradually ease out to move forward

6. Gearshift Lever: Left-hand side, in front of left footpeg.
- Higher number: Shift up
- Lower number: Shift down
